Video Tutorial

Here is a very critical video tutorial of one of my most important homemaking skills... that of providing fresh whipped cream! :)

If you do not have access to a Costco business center, you can find the iSi whipped cream dispenser here, and the N2O cartridges here (please note: I mistakenly keep calling it an NO2 cartridge in the video).

Come back tomorrow for another short clip on

***drum roll please***

  1. Cool! Hey, I sent you a postcard for your homeschool a while back and was wondering if you had received it. It was from Bishop, CA. If you didn't, I'd be happy to send another if you are still wanting postcards. :) -Sarah

  8. Wow...that's so cool! I've never seen any store-bought cream that was really only cream (always has carageenan, etc). But since the milk we buy is local raw jersey milk, it's got tons of perfectly good cream to use. But I don't like taking the time to skim it off, whip it up in the Kitchenaid, store it, clean up, etc. It really doesn't take long, but for homeschool moms, even a few minutes is precious! Anyway, I usually end up just shaking the milk up for whole milk rather take time to fuss with the cream. This gadget would make it possible to have whipped cream more often if it would work for raw cream! I can handle skimming it off which just takes a minute. Even if I didn't use the raw cream, it's still worth a look, because my family (including husband) loves whipped cream. Guess it's not the end of the world if I had to buy cream for convenience. Like you said, it's still way better than the already made whipped cream. Definitely gotta look into this!

  9. I didn't know something like this existed! I have been making homemade whip cream in a food processor or with beaters. My mom always made homemade whip cream. I was surprised to find out when I grew up, that no one knew you could do that. Oh what they were missing! That is a neat gadget, thanks for the tutorial. I think I will be asking for it for mothers day ;)
