Some new vlogs

I don't always wear the same white shirt, but when I do, I record a whole bunch of videos in it on the same day...

I will have a shorter intro on future videos.

Later today, I'm hoping to record a video tutorial for how I make sandwich bread. Stay tuned!

  1. Loved these! Thank you for sharing! My husband prefers Me without make up also. I don't like spending the time messing with it anyway.

  2. To each his own. I am glad you said it wasn't sinful to wear makeup. My husband, for instance, fell in love with me while I wore makeup, and still prefers me to wear it to this day. In fact, on the very rare days when I don't wear it, he asks, "Are you tired? Something looks different", haha. So most days, I style my hair and put on makeup. (Which, side note, while he prefers makeup, he loathes dyed hair, so guess what, I don't dye my hair) We,like you, look to the Bible for our final authority on how we live, and yes,not much is said about makeup. ~Cassie

  4. You answered my bible reading questions!! Yay! And here I was sad that your q&a stopped right before my question, but you came through with a separate video! I believe you mentioned that you'd continue answering the remaining questions, so thank you for keeping your word! You have made my day, Mrs. Anderson! Thank you for sharing your experience and suggestions!

  5. Hello Again! I have been away for a while and need to catch up! I love the videos and hearing your voice. Sounds crazy to some I suppose, but it allows for me to feel as though I am on the other side of a chat. I really appreciate your sharing about makeup and the reality of the toxins and chemicals in them. I too do not wear makeup or dye my hair. About ten years ago I began studying the chemicals and such in common household items and was so floored. We must be good stewards of what goes on our bodies as well as what goes in them(whether visually, audio, or through our mouths). Have a great weekend and I am off to see what I have missed. Thanks again for sharing,
    Jennifer

  6. Thank you for kind and compassionate advice. It is nice to hear from someone like you that I don't have to be supermom, because that is definitely not happening.

  7. I saw that one of your daughters had a doll. I've heard your husband preach against dolls due to scripture and was wondering your stance.

  8. I think you mentioned before that you had to "sleep train" Chloe, I wanted some advice on this. I have an 8 month old exclusively breastfed baby that eats on demand, and for the past month she only wants me to put her to sleep by rocking her. Then when I put her in bed she wakes up 10 min later. I also have a 3 1/2 year old and a 2 year old, so this is making for very long stressful days! I tried letting go her cry but she went for an hour- not screaming just kind of whinning, but I felt so bad I went and picked her up. Any tips on how to make this process a bit easier would be greatly appreciated! Thanx and God Bless.

  9. Hi Mrs. Anderson. I'm going to be having a home birth in about a month with my first child and was wondering what you think about newborn metabolic screening. My midwife told me a little about it the other day and I'm just concerned about how painful it would be for newborn and also that sometimes the test isn't accurate. Have you done this with your children? Do you recommend it?

  10. Hi Zsuzsanna,

Love the new vlogs, what a great idea! I do enjoy seeing all your updates on the family too! I have a question for you.. I know some of your children have had tongue ties. Our new baby girl had one and we had it clipped but I am still in so much pain (short of going into too much detail) my breasts are in bad shape! I've seen two lactation consultants, one before and one after the clipping. My daughter also has a high palate, which I know isn't something that's fixable. I was wondering if you had any tips or tricks for surviving this or any other suggestions. The last thing I want to do is stop nursing, as my daughter is only 6 weeks.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks and God Bless!

    1. Hi Jessica,

I am sorry to hear of your struggles. Kudos for trying to help the baby and make breastfeeding work out!

If your baby's tongue was only clipped and not lasered, chances are only the anterior tie was revised. All babies that have an anterior tie also have a posterior tie. It's easier to miss because this knowledge has largely been lost in a couple of bottle-feeding generations.

I would advise you to look into posterior ties, find a specialist near you, and have a laser revision done ASAP, even if it involved traveling to a specialist in a big city. The high palate can still widen and come down once the tongue is released and can push against the palate correctly, which will prevent a slew of dental and health issues later.

I hope it all goes well! Please let me know how it turns out.

    2. Zsuzsanna,

I wanted to thank you for your advice! We looked up a specialist to perform the laser revision. While we were getting paperwork filled out and trying to make an appointment within a matter of days the little ones latch improved and I completely healed! We decided to wait it out to see if it continued... here we are 4 weeks later and she is eating like a champ, gaining weight and I am pain free!

I also wanted to let you know that you and Pastor Anderson have been such a blessing in my and my husbands life. We listen to sermons regularly and I am always checking your blog for advice! With our youngest approaching 3 months we decided that it's best for me to stay home and begin homeschooling. Thank you, thank you! God Bless you and your family!

  11. Mrs. Anderson,
My husband and I are new to the Christian faith. Listening to your husband and watching your blogs has helped our marriage and the way were raising our children tramendously. So, thank you both for that.
I have a question that Im ashamed I even have to ask..
How do you look at your husband as an authorative figure? I was raised in a household where the women "wore the pants" (if you will). Im desperately trying to get out of that mindset thats been instilled upon me throughout my childhood, and give my husband the respect he deserves by looking at him as the head of the house and the leader of our family. If you could show me some verses or give me advice I would be very greatful.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

  13. I need to ask a question if my friend the had 3 abortions in her distant past is going to go to hell. She is completely different person now and is just now really learning about the Bible. The subject has come up and I really have no idea if she'll be allowed to go to heaven. Are you able to answer this question?

  14. If your friend is saved, no matter her past, she will not go to hell. You cannot lose your salvation, nor do you work for it. Once saved always saved.

It has been a never ending chore to clean up toys just to be a la to sweep. I want thru their toys and kept a few and put the rest into storage to rotate in ocassionally. It has made a huge difference and a lot less work for me. Thank you so much!
