We have been TTC since my son was 3, and he's 7.5 now.bafleyannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02512006999519081304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3454355557116314654.post-59405204426053605992009-02-10T15:20:00.000-07:002009-02-10T15:20:00.000-07:00I don't take issue with large families at all....I don't take issue with large families at all....what I do take issue with is large families who do so with government assistance. I personally know people in the area that I grew up in who had more children to get a bigger welfare check. As for the octuplets mother I think she's just a little kookie. Have you seen some of the interviews she's done. 14 kids and a single parent....that's fabulous.Hopehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02976711831330274977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3454355557116314654.post-53793572245605110102009-02-10T08:55:00.000-07:002009-02-10T08:55:00.000-07:00Our tax preparer recently told us sternly to remem...Our tax preparer recently told us sternly to remember that we have to "provide college for all these kids we're having." My husband and I have both taken several college courses, but apparently, since a complete college education wasn't provided for us, we would have been better off if we had never been born. My husband makes more money than a teacher, policeman, or nurse, yet people act like college is a necessity for every child.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3454355557116314654.post-52057022643620543302009-02-10T07:36:00.000-07:002009-02-10T07:36:00.000-07:00http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?story...http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=12513004<br><br>It is actually a changing tide. Larger families are becoming more of the average. Four is the new two in many areas. People aren't seen as having a lot of children until the have 6 or 7 now. Of course if you want to find people who disagree with the idea of having more chldren you can always find naysayers. It is actually not looked down on like it was in years past. Since 2000 the number of children per family has actually increased and America is shifting its focus slowly toward larger families. This isn't as obvious in all areas of the country but here in the south 3 kids is average, 4 is common and I know a lot of people with 5 or more children.gretchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12678805008559998673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3454355557116314654.post-35173570884814867242009-02-10T07:07:00.000-07:002009-02-10T07:07:00.000-07:00Very good article. Seven of those belong to my husband, and I love each and everyone of them as if they were my own. And, no, not all of them live with us. All of the kids are 21 or older, and most of them are on their own now, we only have 2 that still live at home, and they are 23 and 21.Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05456238241747350224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3454355557116314654.post-29866468410004045282009-02-10T05:51:00.000-07:002009-02-10T05:51:00.000-07:00The sad truth is that it IS irresponsible to have ...The sad truth is that it IS irresponsible to have more than two children.
