Family Pictures

In a continuation of the recent photo overload, I bring you our new family photos. These were taken by a young man at our church who is not a photographer by profession, but who might as well be. The only difference between these photos and others we have had done was that they only cost us the expense of treating him and his family to ice cream afterwards. :) We are very thankful for talented helpers in our church!

  3. Jewish names!!Hello Pastor Anderson! It is really hard to be a Jew and follow the holly covenant 613 commands such as eating kosher keeping Shabbat is NOT a simple matter! That's why many Jews unfortunately don't follow their own Torah! It may not be convenient and they want a way out! If the followers of Jesus Christ are the true chosen people then you are offering a very convenient alternative to the Jews all they have to do is believe in him and that is it and they are saved! They don't have to work so hard to keep all their thousands of laws and regulations. So why don't they all convert to Christianity? Or become Jews for Jesus? Bc you are not offering an EQUALLY challenging path! you just saying you don't have to believe a thing besides in Christ well even the way you guys celebrate Christmas is not detailed compared to how the Jews celebrate Chanukah!(check out Elon Gold's comedy https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VyJWIDwZcdI )Jews are not responding to your lovely offer because even the Jews who don't keep the Torah many claim they believe in God in their heart so what are you offering them more? Also the Hebrew bible is comprised of 24 books and not only 5! We have all those prophets as well. The Torah/Hebrew bible remains unchanged in all synagogues in the world for over 3,500 of years. Contrary to your Holly bible that has so many versions! I wouldn't bother you if you would not pick on the Jews! Sincerely,Naomi

    1. With all due respect --

An argument could me made that following complex traditions does not make one a better servant to God.

Also we are *not* commanded to follow Christmas in the Bible - it's just a widely followed get together...

You could even say Easter is more important, but again, it's just a tradition. It does not prove you are a faithful servant to God.

If any jewish person converts, that would NOT be an easy conversion because they would have no family support. So it is in NO way the "easy way". Not at all.

The Christian life is not an easy life. It is quite demanding...many personal sacrifices are made, most of them not visible.

But we do not live the life for salvation - we do it for love- because our salvation is assured.

      That is the point.

  4. What lovely pictures! And WOW, is Solomon tall! It's so amazing that your little ones are growing up so quickly into NOT-so-little-anymore people! The next ten years (and beyond) will hold so much joy for your family as you get to see all of your hard work come to fruition.

Merry Christmas from all of us!

  5. Umm Naomi, we believe in the holy word of God too, and if we try to be a good Christian we have to put in some effort. It´s not following mind-numbing rules that don´t make any sense in many cases, but it can be very challenging. It´s also the most rewarding thing in life, to have a personal relationship with God Jesus Christ.

  6. Hello Zsuzsanna,
I check up on your blog every once in a while. Today whilst looking through these beautiful photos, my 4 year old daughter had to make mention how handsome John is and what time(age) he is. When I said John was 12, she replied with, "Oh well, he's still handsome and a man I want to marry."
I also might add she never mentions anyone that's more handsome than he dada or baby brother. He he.
If only I could upload a video in the comments.
    God Bless!

  10. FYI, a coat should always be buttoned when standing. But the bottom button should never be.

  11. So cute, your photographer should really considering making a business of it. Where did you get those cute matching dresses for the girls?

    1. Gymboree. They are one of the few places that have matching clothes from size newborn to children's size 12.

  12. How beautiful! I would certainly hire that young man to photograph my family, that is if we didn't live several states away. Encourage him to keep up the good work!

My daughter (15) and I listen to your husband's sermons constantly and seeing your whole family was such a joy for us. 1. Bo's little face in that picture makes me laugh every time I see it, which is a lot because that is the screen photo on my phone. He's such a treasure!

Thank you for your words of encouragement. We love to hear that we are able to bless others without even being able to meet them.

  14. Hi Zsuzsanna, you can be very proud of your hard work and the family you have brought into life. Being a good mother is not a matter of course but takes dedication, follow through and attention to detail. You are doing a wonderful job and I envy your kids about their childhood. I did not have such a great childhood with siblings and field trips and a great church family. They are truly blessed. I also think the next ten years will bing a lot of fruits of your work, with daughters in law added to your family. What a rich life!

    1. Thank you for your kind words. The first few years were the hardest as far as work. For several years now, I have been "coasting" as the older kids are pulling their weight more and more around here. But I know all too soon I will turn another corner, when the kids start moving out and moving on, and we get to see those arrows we have been working on fully take flight. It's exciting and very rewarding!

  18. Hi this is the first time I've seen your blog but I watch all of the church videos. I am 42 yr old widow with 2 daughters and 3 grandbabies from Missouri and have since found an independent Baptist Church kjv only and joining this Sunday. I suffer serious depression and your videos help me a lot. I'm praying God will find the right husband for me. It's difficult to be alone.
