Little Chloe Pearl Anderson was born yesterday, Wednesday May 18th, at 9:48 a.m. weighing 6 lbs 15 oz and measuring 19 inches.
As you can see, little Chloe is perfect in every way!! :) She has a full head of beautiful, silky brown hair, more than any of our other babies have had. She nurses like a champ, and is very alert and content when she is not peacefully snoozing. It seems like she has always been part of our family, and not like she was born just yesterday.
We are all smitten with her, of course. Such a precious surprise after we were all rather sure we were having another little boy. So much so, that we had literally zero baby girl clothes on hand, as we had given them all away after two boys in a row. Grandma and the girls had fun going shopping for their sweet little sister.
Oldest proudly loving on youngest - makes my heart skip a beat!

Becca - I'm glad she likes having her pictures taken again

Boaz is beyond thrilled with Chloe. We have never had issues with siblings being jealous of a new baby, but
he takes it to a whole new level. He sings songs to her, and about her, admires her tiny fingers and toes, strokes her hair, and is just completely in awe of her. The only time he got mad was when he woke from his nap, and found Anna sitting on the sofa with me, holding "his" baby, and wailed "I want to hold it! I want to hold it!"
Thank you for your prayers for a safe delivery. The labor was pretty easy until the very end, which was challenging because Chloe was born with BOTH her hands up by her face. (More on that in a separate blog post with the detailed birth story.) We are joking she was trying to plug her ears, knowing she had eight older, loud siblings. In fact, if you look carefully, you can see that this is how she still sleeps.
She is beautiful!!!! Congratulations.. Thank you for taking time to share so pictures..
ReplyDeleteThat's really beautiful. She looks like she fits right in...
ReplyDeletePraying you have a nice and easy post-partum recovery.
Looking forward to the birth story.
First off... CONGRATS! She's percection!!!! Second...oucchhhhh!!!! Evan was born in the same position and it was the most painful labor I'd ever had. I kept saying something wasn't right, it felt weird, it felt different. And sure enough... wow! Enjoy her, she's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures. I think it's sweet Boaz is so attached to her.
ReplyDeleteCongrats sister and brother Anderson!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on baby Chloe!
ReplyDelete(I left a comment on your last post before I saw this one was up, sorry about that.)
I am so happy for you guys! Enjoy your sweet little girl and get plenty of rest! :)
I am looking forward to hearing the birth story. I love reading/hearing/talking about birth stories. :)
Congrats! She's beautiful! Boaz is just as sweet as can be! You can see how much he loves her. Look at his huge smile!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing all those children are. I admit I get a little baby fever looking at your darling Chloe. Lol. We were hoping for baby number 8 but I had 2 miscarriages in a row last year, one which was life threatening. I'm 42 and I think my time of having babies is over and that's okay. God is good!
She is beyond beautiful. She looks like your husband! I love the name...I also have a Chloe. :) My Chloe is vibrant and alive, like her name depicts. It should be a fun ride- enjoy!
ReplyDeleteShe's gorgeous!!! Congratulations from all of us!

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful blessing. Congrats to the entire Anderson clan! And that picture of little Boaz holding her ought to be on a magazine cover. Priceless. :)
ReplyDeleteWill this be the first fully brunette child?
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable! She kinda looks like I did, with all that hair ;)
ReplyDeleteShe really does. We just discovered this morning that she has a little cowlick in the front, your mom said you have the exact same one. None of our girls have that.
DeleteAw! :) JT has one too

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! She's absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteShe is very precious and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteForgive me for going off topic, but the curiosity is getting me: the pastor is wearing a tee that says "No Such Thing As Bad P...". Press? Preachers? Pretzels? Help! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! It says "bad press". I saw it at a local coffee shop (hence the play on words) and just had to get it for him.
Delete:) Thought so. Very appropriate! Thanks.
DeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteShe's just gorgeous. Such an old soul...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you and your beautiful family.
Best wishes,
Alicia
Love all the photos! I truly believe siblings are one of the most precious gifts we can give our children. My daughter will gain twin siblings this Fall and I have been a little nervous how she will do with the adjustment. Seeing your children so lovingly take to Chloe gives me hope for a smooth transition
ReplyDeleteGlory to God for another blessed little child ☺! It was such a blissful experience to see Boaz hold Chloe haha

ReplyDeleteWhat a great surprise! I'll bet the big girls were a ball of excitement over another sister on their shopping trip. We got rid of everything baby after our third & a month later conceived our 4th; lesson learned. Congratulations to you & your family!

ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous baby. absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteShe is lovely! She looks so much like Pastor Anderson. Congratulations Anderson family.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! She is beautiful and reminds me much of my 3 babies so far. They have all been born with a head full of dark hair like that, some even had more! She was so tiny at birth. Have all your babies been that small? Do you follow a very low carb diet? Mine have all been over 8 lbs. and I am pregnant with my 4th, due in November. I'm trying to figure out how I can have a smaller baby, my last one gave me troubles in delivery and was probably due to her size. I was wondering if a very low sugar/carb diet might help? Any advice? I hope you're enjoying your post-partum time. You are an inspiration to me.
ReplyDeleteShe is lovely! They will never forget her entrance into the world. I must also comment that John looks so very healthy and handsome in his photo. He is really growing up.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful baby, lovely name. Well done Mama. This is wonderful news!
