Just checking in

My brother has been visiting with us for the last couple of weeks, which is my way of warning you that you are about to get photobombed in the next few posts as I share about the good times we had.

For today, just this epic shot from Bearizona in Williams, AZ, where we went yesterday. If you have not been, it's so worth the trip!

  1. Oh, goodness - this is so funny! I was just sitting with my family talking about Bearizona, and we were reading up on it and deciding that we'd like to go there some day. And then I come in here and see your post! Neat!! We definitely want to go there soon. Did you do a day trip, or stay up there?

I can't wait to see your pictures!!
    Love,

    1. They had four homeschool days this year, the last being on Oct. 2nd. It roughly cuts admission in half. Bearizona alone is totally worth the trip if you only have one day like we did.

  3. Bearizona is awesome! I grew up in Flagstaff and love Williams. The Deer Farm, Bearizona, The Polar Express around Christmas time...it's such a quaint little town.

  4. Why do you make your boys tuck in their shirts up to their chests? I always laugh when I see that... poor guys. They look so silly and it isn't their fault. What exactly is the purpose of making them look so odd?

    2. You must be one miserable, bitter person, when that is the first thing that comes to your mind when seeing a picture of happy, smiling siblings having fun.

There are three boys in the photo. One has his shirt untucked, one has it untucked and his belly sticking out (he's one, don't trip), and one has it tucked in. That one is twelve, and if you think I still tuck his shirts for him, you have even bigger problems than I think you do. Unlike you, I don't police just where he prefers the waist of his pants to be, but it certainly isn't around his chest.

I published your comment for the amusement of my readers. I can't even make this stuff up.

    1. Seriously, right??? He brought an entire suitcase full of candy and gifts, so much so that he had to buy clothes when he got here - ha! So yes, there may or may not have been a large booty of Kindereggs in there, too. :) Haters gonna hate!

  6. I was so glad to see you amended your original reply to this troll. I am sure it must be difficult to deal with all of the criticism and ridiculous (and sometimes completely false) nitpicking that your blog seems to attract but how you've handled it shows your character. Good for you for fixing that, and I mean that sincerely. Karen
