Jury Nullification

The info in this short video is so vital to our liberties, and to putting an end to judicial tyranny. Yet the vast majority of Americans do not know this.

If you are on a jury, and even if the defendant is clearly guilty of breaking a law, you as a juror can still say "Not guilty" if you think the law is unjust, and does not serve justice. For example, just because the government passes a law that we cannot breathe, you as the juror can rule "not guilty," and the defendant walks free in spite of clearly breaking the (unjust) law. This safeguard was intended to keep an abusive government from enforcing wicked laws. While my example is extreme, what about unjust laws that do affect us, such as in the areas of taxes, activism, preaching/soulwinning, raising our children, etc.

Then there are laws regarding things that are wrong, but should not be up to the government to punish, such as drugs, etc. It is NOT the government's job to punish every sin, or else we would all be in prison - which pretty much is the stated goal of our government at this point.

Personally, my rule is (and should be that of anyone): No victim, no crime. By that standard, 90% of convictions in this country would not stand.

Jurors, know your power!

  1. How does "no victim, no crime" fit in with "the government should stone the homos"?

    1. Great question, thank you for asking! Because all homos are violent and dangerous abusers. Read Romans 1, or every single other account of them in the Bible. Every time the Bible mentions them, they are raping, abusing, and/or killing. Besides being filled with disease, which they pass around to those they live amongst.

    2. Surely you realize that there are some homos that are not violent abusers? I'm sure some are and some aren't- just like all other groups of people.

    3. It boggles the mind that you actually believe that.

    5. You need to understand what Jesus said more clearly, love thy neighbor. Paul"s letters are not scripture. In fact God warned us not to believe the one who said he met him in the desert. As smart as your husband seems to be, I can't believe he would go by the modern day bible constructed by the Catholic church. He should look as translations closer to the original text,

    6. I am no more brainwashed than you. I simply do not believe your statements are correct. And I am still flabbergasted that anyone feels/believes as you do.

  2. I understand your point, but wouldn't that mindset just create more lawlessness? Selling and dealing drugs does hurt people-just ask the children who are neglected because their parents are high. I do agree that the government goes way overboard...especially in the area of taxes. Most of what they do there is completely unconstitutional. But I will also say that alot of what people are in prison for- stealing, drugs, rape, murder, etc....does involve a victim. Taxes are one exception that I can definately aggree with you on.

    1. The law of the Lord is perfect. Our government punishes sins that are not crimes, and doesn't punish those that are. For example, abortion (murder) and adultery are legal, but smoking pot or speeding are not.

I do not for one moment think that following God's plan would create lawlessness. During Jesus' millenial reign, when He will rule based on His laws, there will be great peace. Only about 10% of the prison population is guilty of a violent crime, most of which would deserve the death penalty. The other 90% should get a beating, a fine, or nothing at all if nobody was harmed.

  3. I so wish it were possible for taxes to be scrapped entirely in the USA for five years or so.

  4. Zsuzsanna, that is just ignorant. Some gay people never follow through on the lifestyle. Some choose to be single and never "come out". They are still gay. And, by the way, Jesus treated sinners (which we all are), way better than you do. Your attitude is what gives Christians a bad name. And, yes they are born that way. God doesn't make mistakes, but science does.

    1. I guess if they never follow through, and never come out, they would be in no danger of being punished, would they? Not like many people walk around with a sign that says, "I'm a homo."

If someone were that flamboyant in spite of it being a capital crime, they would hardly be living the quiet, celibate lifestyle you describe.

Nobody is born that way, because people are created by God, and as you said, He doesn't make mistakes. The Bible makes it clear that they become that way through their own choices, particularly rejecting God.

We are all sinners, and I treat 99.9% of people I come into contact with each day very well. Unless they make it entirely clear that they are a reprobate, I give people the benefit of the doubt.

If believing the Bible gives Christians a bad name, take it up with God - I didn't write it. You know, they didn't kill Jesus because he went around preaching nothing but love, joy, and peace.

    4. Shelby - we have friends that fled Syria 6 years ago. They told us that Islam is not the peaceful religion is once was. It has become mostly about doing harm to those who do not believe as they do. Their adult son chose to stay at the time but has since fled to Jordan with his family and they are awaiting visas to come to the US.

Zsuzsanna, what I wanted you husband to see was under the tab entitled "Questioning". Sorry I didn't clarify. And, sorry to go so far off of your topic!

  5. Illegal drugs are a victimless crime? Can you please explain how you believe that?

Because from what I have seen with my own eyes anyone involved with drugs usually leaves a trail of victims in their wake intentionally or not. From babies born severely addicted, neglected and abused children, theft victims, murder victims, etc.

Anyone with a drug user in their family usually winds up as a victim - for instance my friend's brother stole and sold his mother's antique silver in order to get money for drugs, she discovered it missing when she went to set the table for Christmas Eve dinner.

My cousin's husband stole her mother's wedding set and hocked it for money to get drugs and didn't even remember doing it because he was so high! She was lucky enough to figure out which pawn shop he took it too and was able to get it back.

Both of these men are currently in jail and they deserve to be there. Stealing from family was the least of their crimes.

One of my best friends became a drug addict later in life (she was in her 40s), because of it she became homeless, because she was homeless she lost custody of her children. It took her two years to get her life back on track and get her children back. She is now 50 and basically starting over again. For 5 years of their lives her kids had no stability in their lives at all, they were moved from motel room to motel room, they went hungry, they were dirty. To this day they are still trying to overcome all the damage that was done to them - they are 11 and 13. Worse, I had to sit back and watch all this happen because I was 2,000 miles away and there was NOTHING I could do.

The people I am describing were all solidly middle class before drugs entered their lives.

Now, do I think people should go to jail for personal marijuana use, of course not, especially considering the medicinal properties it has for some people. But that is not even in the realm of what I consider illegal drugs. ~ Traci

    1. Drugs may or may not be a victimless crime. I was referring to the consumption of drugs, which in and of itself does not necessarily involve a punishable crime.

Please note: I have never, not even once in my life, consumed any illegal drugs (and virtually no legal drugs in my adult life). I think using drugs recreationally is wrong and sinful - but it is not the job of the government to make us "behave."

The cases of theft you described above certainly had victims, who should be paid back four or fivefold. That actually helps the victim, unlike serving a prison sentence, which further punishes victims by having to financially support the prison industry.

Your homeless friend should NOT have had her kids taken away, unless they actually came to quantifiable harm (not having stability is bad, but again, not the job of the nanny state). Foster kids all of children have the least stability.

Drugs do damage, drugs are stupid. But unless there is a concrete crime, it is not the government's job to preemptively punish people for drug possession, or consumption. For offenses involving victims, the Bible prescribes a fine, beating, or capital punishment, depending on the crime. No prison, anywhere.

  6. I love looking at your beautiful family and enjoy most of your stories. However, sometimes I have to take a break because of some ridiculous post like this one. The people that are arguing with you are wasting their time. I can only shake my head at your thought process. Since you think American law is so flawed, at least you are free to leave.

  7. I would first like to say THANK YOU for all that you have stood up for. You have and continue to be a great example for me. You have helped me to realize so much in my personal life and change my life to become a better Christian.
I have talk to my Pastor and his wife about this before and I just wanted to see what you thoughts are. Stefanie in an earlier comment said how some Sodomite never follow through or come out of the closet. Is it possible that God made people two ways straight people and then people who don't have sexual desires? I'm not saying they are Sodomites simple they don't have the desire to marry.
My first example being Paul in 1 Corinthians 7:8-9 He talks about the unmarried and widows abiding even as I. I know he means that he didn't marry and to serve God. In verse 9 he says that if they cannot it is better for them to marry than burn. could he be saying that it better for them to marry than to commit fornication or adultery?
I also know that in Matthew 19:12 That Jesus talks about eunuchs, how some are born from their mothers womb, other made eunuchs of men, and other self made eunuchs. Is it possible that the eunuchs from their mothers womb and self made are as Paul? I know what the definition of a eunuch is and understand what I'm saying isn't exactly what it means. Could it be that Satan has perverted another thing of Gods by making people think if they aren't straight they must a sodomite?

    Thank you for your time.

  8. I agree with you on jury nullification and not punishing for victimless crimes. Because of this, I can't reconcile your belief in punishing gays; even if I consider your belief about gays being inherently evil (paraphrasing), I don't see the justice in giving the government the power to put to death citizens based on their sexuality. For one, it's a slippery slope: give them the power to put gays to death, what's next? Those with depression or schizophrenia? Women who suffer miscarriages? Understand I am not approaching this from a biblical standpoint, but from the understanding that government, historically, is quick to abuse power. Second, even if being gay is a crime, there aren't necessarily victims. Perhaps the gay person has participated in gay sexual acts with willing partners, without deceit, while using the proper protection against disease. I have encountered several gay people who would fit this description, and I would argue that, if being gay is illegal, they are committing a victimless crime. Yes, God may punish them, but the government should have no grounds to punish (with no victim).

if I follow your logic, it would make sense to let God govern these cases: let gays who don't create victims be judged only by God. Do you agree?

Please understand that I am asking out of curiosity, not malice.

  9. Zsuzsuanna, you are 100 percent right on this. The law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul. If you do not agree with Zsuzsuanna on topic which is totally backed up by the Bible, then you give Christianity a bad name....because it makes Christians look like a bunch of people who just pick and choose which part of the Bible they believe is true and not all of it.

  10. I have served jury duty; it was an honor to do so. As a citizen, I took this job seriously and did my best to promote fair and reasonable judgment to uphold the law. It is NOT the job of a juror to push their own agenda. An individual does that with their vote.

  11. i'm going to pretend that this isn't just a veiled post about how we should regulate bible laws.

but, I wanted to show you this article on a wonderful WWF Campaign called "Stop One Stop Them All". I didn't want to point out the cause as much as the ad campaigns they chose to use to sort of help people like me understand how a victimless crime can still be a chain that leads to a real crime.

  12. The article you linked to above has sources too old to be credible. All of the citations are 20 years old or more. Academically speaking, this doesn't hold much validity. There are a lot of numbers given, and I don't feel like going through the sources to make sure they were interpreted/cited correctly, or not. But a good portion of many articles, newsletters, reports etc. misrepresent the statistics from their sources. It probably isn't too often intentional, it is just that the people writing such articles aren't qualified to do that type of analysis. This is especially so in stuff found on internet sites, and I've noticed it has been getting worse over the years.
