  1. As a mexican american we call these guys 'TRAITORS' lol I have cousins who were born to illegals in the country and turn around and work for Border Patrol because it's an easy job with benefits that pays enough and they will take ANYONE. I found this clip the other day minus a couple curse words I think it's funny and sadly how I think my family would be treated at these check points if we tried anything your husband does :( http://youtu.be/TLRIokx1Qtg Too bad they didn't take the movie and watch it, those puppet traitors need to get a real job.

  2. Again, this scares me to death for your husband. It worries me that he's alone.

Also, no offense to your husband but it what exactly is the point of these checks if these guys are going to let your husband through with a DVD as identification? Sure it's fine to let him through but who else are they letting through?

The whole thing is so stupid and I do not feel one bit safer either.

  4. Wow, just wow. Have you heard that the hateful gags over at fj were robbed by their leader. The site is falling apart. All I can say is it serves them right for harassing good Christian bloggers.

  6. Thanks for the post Zsuzsanna. We used this as part of our homeschooing this morning. This is great! We also got the After the Tribulation DVD. We have been listening to the sermons on this topic over the last year and doing some personal study in this area. The DVD was so well done, so understandable. We now hold a biblical post tribulation belief. Thank you so much!

  7. Zsusanna,

As you well have seen what happened to my husband and I while NOT even at a checkpoint http://www.youtube.com/user/twentytwelvevideo I am totally supportive of the questioning of why these checkpoints exists. I live within 25 miles of one and fortyish miles of another and must pass through them weekly. EVERYONE MUST STOP. So ignoring the ignorance of some, this is an illegal stop...ONCE THEY ASK A QUESTION. If we cannot leave without response this is detaining us. And both of the checkpoints are well within the US Border.

One time the agent stuck his head inside my window and peeked in the back. He was inches from my face! Another time, I responded to the question of Country of Origin, with I am a Lee Greenwood song. He looked puzzled and I said you know...and sang Proud to be...and did not sing American. He said have a nice night. I then asked him, well are you the Lee Greenwood song too? He said well of course!

My sons have been stopped and ask to get out of the car and instead of asking if they are US Citizens...they are asked if they have anything illegal in the car-you know such as narcotics. It is crazy. For the record...in my seven years in NM, I have come to know many people who are in the US illegally. They too pass through these same checkpoints. I seriously doubt that the checkpoints are for anything other than conditioning Americans to check their rights away if the government is asking.

Anyhow, thanks for sharing, and thank your husband for standing in Truth.
    Much appreciation,
    Jennifer

  8. I'm from Chicago, so I've never experienced this besides coming back from Europe, so this is crazy! Why all these checkpoints?

  9. 4:59 PM, my sons are adopted, they are naturalized U.S. citizens. When they were children we had trouble every time we entered Michigan from Windsor, Ontario. My family lived near Buffalo, NY so traveling through Ontario was easier than going through Indiana, Ohio, and PA. Another time I was on a Greyhound bus coming from Buffalo to Detroit. There were some non-U.S., non-Canadian citizens on the bus. They searched every darn suitcase on the bus. We were delayed for hours.

The worst immigration patrol staff in my opinion are those stationed at the Newark airport. We travel to Colombia fairly often. We are treated like we are all drug smugglers. Miami airport immigration staff is just about as bad. We try to always travel via Houston if we can. The staff there have always been respectful. They have a job to do but you can still be pleasant.

At least these are legitimate checkpoints since people are entering the country from another. I cannot understand why AZ has these checkpoints within the state. It makes no sense. And you'll never convince me they don't racially profile which is why my sons boycott AZ. And Zsuzsanna, while I understand why your husband pushes the issue he is going to get hurt or killed someday. There has to be a legal way to challenge these checkpoints.

  10. I've decided I want to be a member of your church. I finally found the place I want to be. I'm gonna be in prayer over this and bring this to the Lord first, but I've been listening to many of your sermons and you've hit it right on with the Word. And with the soul winning outreach, I can get stronger in preaching the gospel. Just have to move to Tempe in some way...

  11. Just go get the historical facts straight: There ain't no checkpoints in Germany. Nor have there been checkpoints in Nazi Germany, save close to the frontlines in the last war. The GDR did have them, but only close to the Border to West Germany. Putting up checkpoints at every road rather seems to be a typical American thing, it seems, and God knows what whoever sets them up is afraid of ...

  12. What about those verses that state that we as Christians should obey and respect authority? Is your husband choosing conveniently to ignore those verses?

    I am honestly curious.

    1. If you are referring to Romans 13, that is talking about legitimate, God-ordained authority. Our government is supposed to be of the people, for the people. Those in uniform are our servants, not the other way around. The constitution, the highest law in our land, does NOT permit these kind of warrantless searches and interrogations. The Bible does NOT condone of us blindly following out-of-control rulers. Have you ever cracked open a history book and read where that takes us?

  13. Oh yes, Zsuzsanna...more times than I'd like to count. Thank you for the clarification! We are headed to Sedona (flying in to Phoenix) for our 10 year anniversary next month. Any recommendations on things to see/do/eat in Phoenix and surrounding area? Already planning the Grand Canyon. (We're not PLANNING the Grand Canyon, as God already did that...just planning to SEE it.)

I love reading your take on things and that you are unapologetic in your views. In these times of harrowing postmodern drivel, that is very refreshing.

  14. Wow, I had no idea that this was happening. I agree with you Zsuzanna that we should not blindly follow out of control rulers.
