There's a new baby on the block

A family at our church had a baby boy born last week. Can you believe it, they named him Steven in honor of my husband!

The little guy is a total sweetie. Just one thing working against him: he makes my Stephen look like a humongous roly-poly!

Can you believe what a difference seven weeks makes???? They always grow too fast, don't they?

  1. Wow! So did Stephen and Steven start out about the same size? I can not believe it's been 7 weeks... Seems like you posted the birth story just the other day. Time is just running off and leaving me these days. Precious little ones!

    1. Our Stephen was 3/4 of a lb heavier at birth - but the difference is still striking!

    1. Isn't it, though? This was a first, and he felt very honored.

  5. Dear Zsuzsanna,

I thought you may be interested in a new movie on GMO/Monsanto/government control that is free for online viewing this week only. The producer wrote the book 'Seeds of Deception'. Perhaps it is along the same lines as 'What in the World are They Spraying'???

I also have a food related question for you. Do you ever sprout or soak any of your nuts, grains or seeds? I'd love to hear your take on that sometime.

I enjoy your blog (and love your little picture at the top), thank you.

    1. Thank you so much for the link to the documentary. I will have to watch it while it's free.

I sometimes sprout grains and seeds to add to salads, bread dough, etc., but I do not soak all of them. You may wish to read this interesting article on the subject of soaking: http://info.breadbeckers.com/phytic-acid/

Thank you for your kind comment.

    1. No, she is not due until November. We had two other moms give birth last week - little Steven, and another little girl. Babies, babies everywhere! (and pregnant mamas, too!)
