Christmas in August

For your viewing pleasure and a little (okay, a lot) of comic relief, please enjoy this absolutely hilarious, albeit entirely extrabiblical, banter by none other than Dr. Jack Schaap.

Oh, I love this clip! It makes me laugh tears every time I watch it.

  4. This made me angry, and he wasn't even talking about my mother. Can you imagine what Jesus thinks? How dare he!

  5. I heard something like this from some Roman Catholics. They said that Jesus' siblings named/mentioned in the Bible are either Joseph's children from a previous marriage and he was a widower or they were Jesus' cousins(Matthew 13:55,56 and Mark 6:3-KJ). They believe that Mary was always a virgin and never had other children(at least 7).

  6. I quit at 3:11. Is he trying to make a point or just kill time?

  7. Ya know, it's funny that someone could actually think up this junk. But seriously.... this guy pastors the 11th largest church in America (their claim). How many people are following him and eating up all the unfounded rubbish he claims as "fact?"

And what on earth is with the guy behind him in a tuxedo?!?!

  8. I wonder how much extra biblical reading he does compared to biblical? Perhaps his sermons would be factual if he left out those extra biblical books. What the heck is he reading, tabloid magazines? He's smitten with the Enquirer headline "Jesus Had Senior Citizen Parents" He's insane. Older couples don't go on to have several more children. He basically just told Jesus, "Yo mama is old an ugly."

How can Jack Hyles' congregation continue to listen to this?

  10. "probably", "wouldn't you think", "would kind of fit", ect....Seriously?! You can make up what you want to "kind of fit" in the Bible, and that is what he is doing and does quite often. Schaapology 101 register now!

  12. I think I saw three points mentioned??

Strife--I don't think the bible talks about that, except maybe that his brothers were skeptical that he was the son of God??

age--is it mentioned?? I've heard Joseph was older than Mary, maybe that he was in his 30's or 40's and Mary was around 24, but I don't know if the bible actually says anything or if this is just what I was taught.

bad living location--doesn't the bible say something like people were surprised where Jesus came from bc they said something like --"no good things come from there"??? (if I can find the reference I'll post it)

This guy grosses me out, but I don't know him. But, the older I get many, ok, most preachers gross me out.........

So what does the King James Bible teach about the points listed......if you have time, thanks!

  13. Wow you are still bitter about that collage your husband droped out of! No one cares, there are lots of churches that don't teach right. Why waste the time, most people can tell this guys teachings are dumb.
