  6. She's adorable. She's so happy. I bet it's fun to be a little baby, and have lots of siblings. There is so many interesting things going on. How can she not smile, and be happy?

  11. Do baby that young actually smile? Just out of curiosity, I remember reading somewhere that baby don't actually smile until they are nine months, any time before that is gas. My son was born Dec 9 and he doesn't smile, although he does make some funny experession.

Well, no matter, she's cute. :)

  12. Babies certainly smile before 9 months. All of mine have, and it wasn't gas, it was smiles. But then again mine didn't spend the first few days or weeks of their life getting over being drugged up in the hospital.

  13. Dear Mrs Anderson,
Other than saying that your children are beautiful, I was going to ask you a slightly off-topic question. I've read your blog on and off for a while now, and I know that you are a strong KJV-only Christian. My church is organizing some events to celebrate 400 years of the KJV and I'm looking everywhere for ideas to contribute! So, as well as asking my real family and friends, I thought I might ask you too! One of the ideas is a public reading of the whole Bible cover-to-cover during the week before Easter and some special scripture distribution. I would love to hear what your church is going to do.
Praying for every blessing on you and your family.

  15. If they wait until nine months to smile something is seriously wrong! That doesn't look like gas!Lol!

  16. Thanks, all!

    Daiyu,

some doctors say that babies don't really smile when they are newly born, but that it's rather just gas, but I have never heard one claim that about 9-month olds. Usually, they would only say that about a newborn. By one to two months, babies will smile in response to a familiar face/voice. Congrats on the birth of your son!

    Kathi,

hm, that's a good question. Maybe some of my readers have suggestions they'd like to share in the comments here?

  17. Kathi,
I dunno if this will be any help, but here goes. Our church is taking the year to especially emphasize God's Word. Pastor and some other men are reading the Bible in a month, then going back and reading it in the remaining 11 months. Others are reading it in a year, 6 months, chronologically or whatever. Pastor has been encouraging us to take extra time to meditate, memorize and to thoughtfully apply God's Word to our lives. We aren't doing anything outlandish, but putting practical emphasis throughout the year on making much of God's Word as we celebrate this 400th anniversary of the gift of the King James Bible.

  18. How beautiful precious little Anna is! It is also wonderful that you were able to capture it on camera!

Our four week old is just beginning to smile at hearing my voice.

    God Bless
