Vaccines and cancer

So I was done talking about vaccines for a while, at least the rest of this month, I thought. There are just so many other issues I want to talk about as well. I changed my mind after receiving many hateful comments about my opposition to vaccines, and after the new hype for a vaccine against the "swine flu".

Please take the time to read the article below, taken from Dr. Mercola's website. You can find more articles about vaccines on their website.

Culture Pass

This is a program that anyone in the greater Phoenix area might be interested in:

You can check out their website to read all about it. Basically, anyone with a library card for one of the main libraries in the Valley can get 4 free admission tickets to one of 12 local attractions such as museums, zoo, botanical garden etc. for FREE. Only a limited number of tickets are available at each branch on any given day, and it's first come, first serve. I checked the libraries near my house for what was available before heading out the door to one of them. You can simply search for the keywords "culture pass".

This program is limited to one package of tickets per library card per week. Because of our family's size, I have to check out two of the same passes on separate cards, which is allowed.

This week, I am planning on taking the kids to the Children's Museum and the Heard Museum. Plus, I am trying to get tickets to take them to the zoo next week.

Even if you do not live in or around Phoenix, you should check to see if your city offers a similar program. When we lived in the Chicago area, all the major museums and attractions were free to residents on Mondays and Tuesdays. Also ask about homeschool days, which many places offer at drastically reduced admission prices.

True Beauty

What a touchy subject, especially to women. I wonder if there are many of us who are not concerned with our appearance, and critical of it in some way. Women dye/perm/straighten their hair. They wish they were taller/shorter/slimmer. If they could, they would have less freckles/wrinkles/age spots. In fact, some women get so concerned about their appearance that they permanently alter it through plastic surgery.

Last week, as I went through my closet, I got a little discouraged when I realized how much smaller some of my clothes were then the ones I am currently wearing. These clothes are not old, they are ones I wore just a couple of years ago. But it seems that being pregnant with two girls right in a row changed my shape in a way I don't much appreciate, and my body just seems to want to fight me on this issue. I am somewhat hoping for a boy pregnancy next (I've always found them much more slimming).

I do not believe that there is a certain ideal of beauty that we should strive to attain. I believe that God created all people to look different from one another, and that they are special and beautiful in their own way. Hence, there is no perfect height, or eye/hair color, or age, or weight.

Judging people merely based on their outward appearance is a sad indication of what our society thinks of as beautiful. The Bible only ever emphasizes inner beauty. Yet, our society and especially single young people sometimes seem to be overly concerned with dating/marrying someone with certain looks or athletic capabilities, as if that were some kind of indication as to what kind of a person they are. Appearance, it seems, is viewed as an outside manifestation of character and inner beauty. But really, unless someone is a total slob or morbidly obese, it isn't.

There is no point in having an outward appearance that is considered by the world "beautiful", but that serves no practical purpose. God's purpose for women is to "marry, bear children, guide the house". A girl may look pretty but be a total airhead who doesn't know how to cook a decent and healthy meal or do any housework. Raising children can be gross and dirty. They throw up, they soil their diapers, they smear food on every conceivable surface. Giving birth in my eyes is beautiful, but it's a far cry from what Hollywood would label as such. I have known several women who were so vain about looking perfectly put-together during childbirth that they got shot up with drugs and applied their makeup throughout labor. They did, in fact, look pretty and dolled up in those right-after-birth pictures, but there's no denying that they also looked high as a kite, and that's not to mention the effects of the drugs on the baby.

I am not impressed by women who can run a marathon or compete in a professional team, but I think any woman who has given birth without pain medication is admirable. The girl who gets up early to hit the gym before going off to work or college lives a sad life, but a mom who gets up early to nurse a baby and then fix breakfast for the rest of the family is beautiful no matter what her hair, makeup, or figure looks like.

What our society considers "beautiful" is not practical. It is only intended for viewing, not using. Kids don't want a "pretty" mom, they want a loving mom that can take care of them. All kids think their mom is beautiful, because they have no concept of outward appearance, only the inner (wo)man. The sweetest compliments I ever get are those from my three sons, because they are so heartfelt and genuine.

People who look for beauty in the outward appearance are consumed with self. How good will a pretty girl/boy by their side make them look. Inner beauty, on the other hand, serves a purpose other than vanity. It serves others.

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. - Proverbs 31:30

Cupcake Fun

One of my favorite hobbies is baking. Not so much because I like sweets, but because it's fun. I especially like cupcakes.

I also have a terrible foible for cookbooks. Sam's Club always has great deals on new releases, and as it so happens, I shop at Sam's at least twice a week for our family and stuff we need for church (we provide free food after the morning service on Sundays). Every time I walk past the book table, these things just start calling my name.

The following books were all purchased there, and I have used every one of them and can recommend them highly.

Cupcakes from the Cake Mix Doctor: While I do not use cake mixes, this book still has a ton of ideas and and recipes that I can make with made-from-scratch dough.

Cupcakes Galore: I would say that of these three books, this is probably my favorite because the recipes are easy, quick, and very creative. I made the "Black Forest Cupcakes" out of this book and they were oh so good!

Hello Cupcake!: What I love about this book is that it teaches how to decorate fancy cupcakes using everyday items like a ziploc bag.
It was from this last book that I got the idea to make "April Fool's" cupcakes for April 1st after the Wednesday night service. The boys helped me by sorting the candies used for the decorating.

Here is a photo of the finished product, snapped with my phone so it didn't come out too great. We had spaghetti with tomato sauce and meatballs, corn on the cob, and "TV dinners" consisting of chicken drumsticks, mashed potatoes, carrots and peas, and chocolate pudding.

Cupcakes are fun!!! And I am glad I go to church where I can feed them to others, else I would become morbidly obese from having to eat all my own creations.

More on the Brewer Pregnancy Diet

As an adjunct to this post, I wanted to share a spreadsheet that is helpful in making sure you get the recommended daily servings.

Personally, I love lists and check marks. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE happy, healthy babies. If you do, too, and you are pregnant, this one's for you!

Vaccines and Population Control

We do not allow any of our children to be vaccinated. This decision was not based on emotion, but on studying the issue in depth over the course of several months.

I am well aware of the reactions this causes in some people. Ironically, those who have accused me/us of being irresponsible and crazy have themselves never educated themselves on the subject, other than maybe asking their child's doctor about it (who obviously has a vested interest in this issue).

This post is not intended to conclusively show how and why vaccines are detrimental, because that would take too long. I hope to expose several problems with vaccines in different posts over the next few months.

Today, I would like to draw attention to the fact that as parents, we really do not know what our children are being injected with, some of which will stay in their blood stream for the rest of their lives. I do not trust our government with its anti-God agenda and our modern medical establishment that knows next to nothing about health with my child's lifelong wellbeing.

As a sidenote, I read an interesting statistic this week. It said that the number 1 cause of unnatural death worldwide is being murdered by one's government. Shocking, isn't it? It also went on to say that while there have been thousands of dictatorships worldwide throughout history, there have been less than 10 nations who have enjoyed freedoms like the ones the United States had when the country was founded. Sadly, our freedoms are falling by the wayside quickly as a fabricated "war on terror" is ushering in a one-world government that will oppress humans worldwide, but I do believe that we are still the freest and therefore greatest nation on the face of the earth today.

This is an interestig article about the WHO's mass tetanus vaccination program in the 1990s in developing countries. It raised suspicions because only women of child-bearing age were vaccinated. After the vials were tested, it was found out that they were contaminated with hCG, a hormon women produce in order to sustain their pregnancy. After being vaccinated with it, women then developed anti-hCG, with the result of repeated miscarriages due to the anti-hCG in their blood stream.

The following is a video clip by Alex Jones on the same subject:

Parents, please think twice before blindly subjecting your children to vaccines without doing any research. The government does NOT have your best interest at heart.

Doctors more dangerous than guns

FACTS TO PONDER :

(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.

(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are120,000.

(Calculation) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.

Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health Human Services.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Now think about this:

Guns:

(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000.

(Yes, that's 80 million..)

(B) The number of accidental gun death per year, all age groups, is 1,500.

(Calculation) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .000188.

Statistics courtesy of FBI

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Remember, 'Guns don't kill people, doctors do.'

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat.

We must ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Out of concern for the public at large, I withheld the statistics on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention.
