Great article on VBAC

This is a great article I stumbled across about VBACs. If you have had one or even more C-sections in the past, and would like to have a natural birth, please take the time to research this subject and your options for future pregnancies.

Sadly, some states (including Arizona) would like to stamp out and even criminalize VBACs altogether.

I am not saying that everyone who wants to have a VBAC can or should have one. I am just saying that you should inform yourself rather than trusting your OB to give you the right advice (he/she won't), and then pray about it.

Psalm 22:9,10 But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts. I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.

  1. Its terrible what lawmakers are trying to do to women's bodies. There is a reason I worked so hard to make sure I had a natural birth the first time. It should be easy to get the kind of birth I want again.

  3. Thank you! We are learning all that we can for our upcoming VBAC. I will definitely be informed this time around. I'm almost finished reading "The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth." Thanks for all of your book suggestions also.

  4. this is excellent Zsuzsanna,
I've had 3 lovely home births and definitely I'd say if I had birthed in hospital especially for my 2 boys i would have had some intervention as I had to go on my hands and knees each time the Gaskin Maneuver.but i had no tears or stitches for any of my lovely births,I'm small i guess at 5 foot 2 and my boys were broad shouldered healthy boys so they slid out with this movement.
I've just shared this article with a friend who has been asking me tons about VBAC she has had 2 unnecessary sections it really makes me mad,to have serious surgery preformed on healthy women. But she's learning loads and watching natural breech births and is amazed and loves everything she's learning.Though in Ireland unfortunately the community midwives which are few are not insured to attend home- births for a VBAC or a breech and there is only one natural birthing unit and that's in Belfast and in saying that it is linked to a maternity hospital, but i know a midwife there and the level of cutting or instrumental deliveries is tiny..
So any way thank you for that article it looks like a good magazine to subscribe to maybe when I've money some time!!
also the brewers diet is great i hadn't heard of it but i had been eating like they suggest anyway, but it's still good to read.
    thank you xxx
