Update on border patrol abuse

This morning, my husband had a great meeting with his attorney, Marc Victor. I will not be publishing many details about the legal proceedings on this blog other than major events such as court appearances etc. Right now, the first goal is my husband's criminal defense case against the two misdemeanors he was charged with.

If you would like to help, please pass the information about this incident on to as many people as possible, as the freedoms of all Americans are at stake.

As far as this blog is concerned, I would like to return to my regular posts, as well as keeping everyone that is interested in this case updated. I have added a link in the very top of the sidebar on the right that will show all posts that contain updates on the border patrol incident.

Thanks again to everyone who has expressed their support to us. Special thanks to the wife of the law enforcement officer who called me this morning and explained to me about the Taser gun identification tags, which were then found in my husband's car.

  1. We have had a lot of threats to our civil liberties. This type of thing has been happening across the country. A group of women in Albuquerque that has been reading on Border and Immigration issues is now following your case. Our prayers are with you. Please tell your husband to follow the lawyer's advice. Govt. officials can be very thuggish as you are aware of when they take a misstep. There is also the ACLU which can step in if things start getting really difficult. I am saddened that you and your family particularly your husband have been put through this.

  2. I just saw and heard your story. I am sorry to hear about what happened to your husband. This is the new reality that people must be aware of.

    What you should also be aware of is what can happen to you and your family after.

    There is a good chance that your husband might have a fraudulent investigation opened on him, which could lead to what we call Gang Stalking. Gang Stalking is basically the systematic destruction of your lives.

  4. As a law enforcement officer I am naturally inclined to take sides with the officers, however your case seems rather compelling... As a Christian my first allegience is to the Lord and to the TRUTH, not to my fellow LEO's. Having said that I am very interested in this case, it sounds like the officer did NOT have probable cause for the search and was hoping that you would consent which most people do... Sounds like the officers took your refusal to consent to the search a bit personal and overstepped... My prayer is that the truth will prevail.. I am cautiously optimistic that this will in fact occur...

  7. The Thomas More Law Center just filed a lawsuit against the Dept. of Homeland Security (BP is under DHS) & Janet Napolitano for their assessment of rightwing extremists:

    "The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan on behalf of nationally syndicated conservative radio talk show host, Michael Savage, Gregg Cunningham (President of the pro-life organization Center for Bio-Ethical Reform, Inc (CBR)), and Iraqi War Marine veteran Kevin Murray. The Law Center claims that Napolitano’s Department (DHS) has violated the First and Fifth Amendment Constitutional rights of these three plaintiffs by attempting to chill their free speech, expressive association, and equal protection rights. The lawsuit further claims that the Department of Homeland Security encourages law enforcement officers throughout the nation to target and report citizens to federal officials as suspicious rightwing extremists and potential terrorists because of their political beliefs."

  8. Please post full text of all transcripts, briefs and court orders, and videotape all court hearings then post full video online. This will help others win their criminal cases and sue police for civil damages, as well as educate the public.

    Also, despite the bashing the ACLU usually receives from the right, they really are an equal opportunity protector of constitutional rights. Unfortunately that sometimes means defending the occasional unsavory character to avoid precedence that would affect the rest of us. There's a good chance they'll donate plenty of high powered lawyer time if your story is accurate and you ask for their help.
