Homemade happiness in 5 minutes

Cast of characters: a pitcher, some lemons, sugar, and Lipton Cold Brew iced tea.

Simply steep 2 or 3 of the tea bags in some cold water for a few minutes.

Pick a couple of lemons from the tree in your back yard and juice straight into the pitcher. Oh, sorry, I forgot everyone doesn't live in the perfect climate that we enjoy here in Arizona. ;) Store-bought lemons or bottled lemon juice will work just as well.

Add some sugar to taste, and serve over ice. You may notice there is no picture of the finished product. That's because the kids started chugging the stuff the second it was done - and who wants to see a picture of an empty pitcher?

  4. What beautiful lemons! I love lemons, in fact my my whole family loves lemons. I wish we could grow a tree like that! I've never tried the cold brew tea, seems like it would be nice not having to wait for the tea to cool off or waste so much ice getting it cold.
On a side note, my 12 yo son was looking at the pictures on your blog (I was showing him the lemon tree) he saw the pictures of the kids with their faces painted and he commented and said "whoever painted their faces did a good job!" I think they look so cute!It looks like you are do a great job with your kids. I like how you go out of your way to make any day special and fun for them! :-)
