My main challenge, ahem, goal this week is to get everything ready for our vacation next week. Packing for four children ages 5 and under for an entire week takes a lot of planning. You'd hate to forget to pack the diaper wipes and not notice until you need them in the middle of nowhere at 1 in the morning...
We will be leaving this Sunday night after the evening service. Since we want to be to our first destination, Legoland outside San Diego, CA by 10 AM on Monday, we will probably be driving through most of the night. The kids sleep very well in the van, and my husband and I will take turns driving and sleeping. On a side note: If you are a homeschooling family and plan to visit the park, sign up online for their special discounted admission tickets for certain homeschool days throughout the year.
Our other destinations next week include SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo, and the Wild Animal Park. My husband, who is a pastor, will be flying home on Wednesday night just for the evening service at church, while me and the kids will visit a good church in Riverside, CA pastored by a friend of his.
We are all very excited about our first "real" (i.e. long) vacation. I'll be posting pictures when we get back!
